"Midsummer in Midsomer"
The Midsomer Murders fan convention started to take shape in late 2007, when a group of dedicated fans (Sabine, Joan, Vanessa, Denise and Helen) suggested on one of the fan forums that they should meet up to talk about the show and do some activities such as location visits. Soon, there was a lot of interest from other people as well, so a convention was set up for fans to come to - and the rest is history. The convention was a huge success, with people coming over from the USA, France, Germany, Sweden, Belgium and of course the UK. We were very honored to welcome none other than Caroline Graham at the convention, author and creator of the Midsomer Murders books. Activities included a location hunt, a steam train ride, a boat ride annex Murder Mystery, a visit to the Wallingford Corn Exchange (a.k.a. Causton Playhouse) and of course the very first edition of our Midsomer Murders Quiz Evening.
